There are so many ways to make a difference — and every one of them matters.

At The Rescue Network – we believe rescue is a community effort. You don’t need experience, and you don’t need to open your home (unless you want to!) — all you need is heart. Whether you have one hour a month or a whole weekend, there’s a place for you here.

🐾 Join Trap‑Neuter‑Return (TNR) Efforts

TNR is one of the most impactful ways to reduce overpopulation and suffering of cats on Oahu. No experience? No problem — we’ll teach you everything.

 

You’ll learn hands‑on skills, meet new friends, and be part of a fun, supportive crew working directly with us while supporting our partner HiCatFriends - who hosts all the TNR clinics. Help with trapping, monitoring, pick‑ups, releases, or simply assisting the team during TNR nights.​

💻 Help with Website & Social Media

If you’re tech‑savvy, creative, or organized, you can help us keep our outreach strong so we can focus on expanding rescue support.
Website updates, content creation, social media posting, graphics — all skills welcome.

 

🎁 Host a Donation Drive

Gather friends, classmates, coworkers, or neighbors and host a pet food, toy, or supply drive. Every can of food, every bag of litter, and every toy goes directly to local rescues, fosters, and families in need.

 

🏠 Foster or Volunteer with Local Rescues

If you’d like to open your home — even for a night — our rescue partners always need fosters.


Not ready to foster? Take a shelter pet out for the day or organize a group outing with friends. It’s enrichment, exercise, and love all in one. We can help connect you with rescues island‑wide.

🚗 Provide Transport Support

Transportation is one of the biggest needs on the island. Volunteers help with:

  • TNR drop‑offs and pick‑ups

  • Transporting animals to and from vet appointments

  • Assisting families in need

  • Helping rescues and fosters get animals safely where they need to go

A few hours and a vehicle can make a massive impact.
