What Else Can I Do?

  1.  Search the Area

    • Walk or drive around the neighborhood calling your pet’s name.

    • Bring a leash, treats, and a familiar toy.

    • Ask neighbors, mail carriers, and delivery drivers if they’ve seen your pet.

  2. Leave Scent Items

    • Place unwashed clothing, bedding, or toys outside your home.

    • Avoid leaving food out—it can attract wildlife or other animals which may deter yours.

  3. Create and Share Flyers

    • Include a clear photo, pet’s name, last known location, and your contact info.

    • Post at: Local vet clinics, pet stores, community bulletin boards, mailboxes and utility poles

  4. Post Online

    • Share in local Facebook groups (e.g., “OÊ»ahu Lost & Found Pets”)

    • Use Nextdoor, Craigslist, and Instagram stories.

    • Tag @rescueoahu, local rescues and ask them to share.

  5. Stay Visible

    • Repost updates every few days.

    • Let people know if your pet is still missing or has been found.
