Stray Kittens
Did you know kittens can get pregnant as early as 4-6 months?!
Found a stray kitten? If it's injured or visibly sick, go here.
Follow these steps:
-
Watch First
-
Don’t assume they’ve been abandoned. Mother cats often leave their kittens for several hours to hunt or avoid people. If the kittens are clean, quiet, and snuggled together, mom is likely nearby.
-
Move the kitten only if it’s in danger
(e.g., exposed to rain, traffic, or predators). -
Observe from a distance for 4–6 hours before stepping
n, unless the kitten is injured or sick.
-
-
Approach Gently
-
Speak softly, move slowly, and offer wet food.
-
Use a towel to scoop the kitten if needed.
-
-
Provide Shelter
-
Create a quiet, warm space with soft bedding.
-
-
