Found Animals

If you’ve found a dog or cat:

  1. File a Found Pet Report with Hawaiian Humane Society.

  2. Call Hawaiian Humane Society at (808) 356-2250 for assistance. They can dispatch help or guide you on next steps. No fee for pick-up of injured or sick strays.

  3. If you can, scan for a microchip by taking the animal to a vet, police station or calling Rescue Oahu for North Shore/Waialua area or Hawaiian Humane Society for all O'ahu support..

  4. If possible, temporarily care for the pet to avoid shelter stress.

  5. If you cannot care for the pet, bring it to the Pet Kōkua Resource Center at the Mōʻiliʻili (Honolulu) and Kosasa Family (ʻEwa Beach) campuses.
